This cosy detached property is perfect for a romantic getaway at any time of the year, being just a stone's throw from the A39, and with a host of popular attractions within easy reach including Dartington Crystal, RHS Rosemoor, Clovelly, The Tarka Trail, Exmoor and Bude in Cornwall which is only a 20 mile drive away. There are also many sandy beaches and pebbled coves in both Devon and Cornwall. A direct route from the property takes you down to the coast at Peppercombe passing the local pub which is just across the way. The historic market town of Bideford is
just 3 miles away where you will find the nearest supermarket, outlet stores and a good selection of pubs,restaurants and shops.
The accommodation has low level switches and is all on ground floor level with a double shower, so would also suit older people, couples with a small child or partially disabled (please enquire prior to booking regarding the suitability for disabled persons). The property offers ONE bedroom: double with en-suite double shower room and WC. Lounge/diner: with real effect electic fire, 2 seater sofa and two chairs, TV with Freeview and DVD, with french doors opening out to garden. Kitchen: well-equipped with electric cooker, combination microwave, fridge and washing machine. Outside: small private garden and patio area. Amenities: parking directly outside property. Bed linen included. Towels provided for overseas guests. Electric by meter. Portable electric heaters throughout. Regret no pets or smoking. Highchair and baby bath available. Sleeps 2 comfortably + 1 baby or small child.. Single put- up bed suitable for a young child only. Location: small local beach 1 mile (walking distance), and larger beach 3-4 miles drive. The small port of Bideford in north Devon, England, is located on the River Torridge opposite East-of-the-Water. A perfect location for staying at if you wish to explore the north Devon coast, Bideford is not far from Northam, Abbotsham, Westward Ho!, Appledore, and Monkleigh. The nearest main cities are Plymouth (population 243,795), Exeter (population 106,772), and Truro (which has a population of 20,920 according to the 2001 Census).
By the 16th century Bideford had become the third largest port in England, although its importance is far less these day. It is famed for the 'Long Bridge' which crosses the river and which dates right back to the 15th century.
Bideford is easily accessibly by road, being located on the A39 coastal road, and offers much for the holidaymaker wishing to explore this part of Devon.
